Oil tankers on their way east

Added 2014-04-26

At 4:20 in the afternoon, on Yonge just north of Shaftesbury, looking southeast to the grand Summerhill LCBO store. Rumbling over the Yonge underpass is a long freight train of oil tankers, on their way east. The train which derailed at Lac-Mégantic came through on this line, which, since 1884, has been the main Canadian Pacific rail line in and out of Toronto.

Update 2014-04-26

By coincidence, the Toronto Star publishes another article today about this rail line, which seems to be a frequent recurring topic in Toronto in the past year — Toxic chemicals, crude oil, radioactive material ride the rails through Toronto.
