Deer in the Don Valley

A young buck takes me by surprise

There's a story that goes with this hike into the valley, the target of which included the Beechwood Wetland. I also wanted to find the old mill race, and I got some nice pictures of that, too.

The deer was about halfway between the Beechwood Wetland and the Beechwood Drive underpass, on the hillside not ten feet (three metres for you young'ns) from the Don Valley Parkway, with its early Saturday morning traffic whizzing downtown.
