In the Don Valley

Added 2011-09-05

On Labour Day, I'm out for a quiet holiday hike in search of some solitude. My destination is "Slab City" in the Don Valley.

"Slab City" is just my name for the huge jumble of large concrete slabs on the inner bank of the Don River at the western end of the Cottonwood Flats, a former industrial area now reverting back to nature. Usually deserted.

Somebody beat me there.
