Sunday football summer doldrums
We played anyway
At half past eleven, there were five of us, and we were getting ready to go home early when Cos showed up. So we played three on three.
John, Eric, Cos — 5.
Rudy, Andrew, Bryan — 2.
What a debacle the game was. Star of the day was Tya, Bryan's daughter, who rode her bike around the track and was very patient and well-behaved until the grown men ran out of gas and stopped throwing the ball at the ground.
Next Sunday is the Canada Day long weekend. However, as none of our guys have cottages, and those of us so inclined (*cough* Tobacco John *cough*) can still catch the Pride parade downtown afterwards, we're playing anyway.
